So happy for Rashford. Had a poor game I thought, (that free kick ) but not for the lack of trying. Some stones on the lad to smash one in.

Shaw, Smalling and Mctominay were all superb. Bar the odd first 20 minutes where Bailly needed hooking United matched PSG I thought. Never gave up pressing.

I know as a United fan I’m spoilt beyond belief but Christ it’s been a while since I’ve got all giddy and it feels good.

Nah. Give me one occasion where they’ve deserved to win something but missed out, or been slightly less good than the eventual winners? As a non-United fan it seems to me that a disproportionate number of their successes have been the coming-in-on-afterburner-it-might-explode-or-it-might-be-glorious type, or the good-sweet-jesus-we-fluked-that-let’s-never-try-that-again type. Very few occasions where they’ve just been slightly better or slightly worse than a competitor over a 38-game season.
