Well golden state is still in the regular season, when they get to the playoffs their tickets will be around 300 at a minimum probably. This is college basketball playoffs so its way more than a regular season game. Plus the NCAA will try to maximize their profit any way they can.

Ha. Over here college basketball and especially football are major attractions. There is probably 5-7 college football stadiums in the US that hold over 100,000 people. Crazy.

High school sports are crazy popular too. Friday night football is something to see. Mrs PB’s school is in a small rural town and gets a crowd of close to 1000 each week. And the standard of high school sport is really good, on another level compared to British schools.

far fewer college games are played too. The warriors play like, what, 50ish games at home per season, and I think the game you went to was, in NBA terms, a bit of a crappy game (think it was against the heat or something?). cheapest tickets high up in the stands for my team at least, for a decent game, are about 200 dollars.

Also wirth bearing in mind with the opening couple of rounds of March Madness you are buying tickets for a session with two games, so still really expensive but you are getting a bit more for that outlay.
