Paxman was spot on about the pants. My mum bought me some for Christmas one year and they have a woeful lack of support for both your marks and your Spencer.

Think it’s somewhat crass to wish that retailers go under.

Apart from Amazon obviously.

Just announced big pay rises for all their workers!

Obviously still very problematic in almost every other way.

Are they ringfenced in separate companies?

I imagine it’s probably irrelevant anyway as they’ll be cross-collateralised in every way I imagine.

Please don’t go bust. :tired_face::kissing_closed_eyes:

Just been in M&S, got a nice salad and bread roll for my lunch.

I also bought some pitta bread, falafel, salad and artichokes for dinner.

I am PRO M&S.

I scoped out some coats and have photographed them.

Her range reflects her career and life perfectly

The share price went up slightly over lunchtime, so thank you. :relaxed:

I do what I can to help small businesses.

I get my food from there at lunchtime, there’s some good deals like the 2 fruit/veg meals for £4, cheap and healthy.

Does irritate me how it seems to be exclusively sloaneyish middle class customers every time I go in there though. Always sense some ‘what are you doing in here?’ vibes from the barbour jacket-wearing people in there.

I know amazon is obviously the absolute worst, but they are also an employer of loads of people who rely on their jobs there.

I don’t think it’s nice to wish any employer to go under full stop, tbh.

It’s just M&S not @xylo’s bookshop.

Anybody wearing a barbour in a shop is not an actual Sloane.

[citation needed, for sure]

Plus they will be in Selfridges or Harrods food halls I would hope.

But how many other businesses, livelihoods etc have they destroyed whilst (allegedly) contributing minimal tax back into the UK?

How many suppliers are now up against the wall due to their trading methods?

Yet people blindly allow what is basically a bug to sit in their house to listen to and observe what they do so that in turn they can market to them, directly…

Yeah I’m knackered by the end of the day

M&S have the best ready made salad selection by a mile too.

I didn’t know he worked there. I don’t want him to lose his job, calm down. I like the candy floss grapes. I got sick of going there for lunch with my workmates (for some reason we all walk to the same place together to get our lunch as a group as though we’re not allowed any independence during our break) and find it weirdly dingy and cold and don’t get why everyone bums the very expensive food. Only ever been to the foodhall tbh. Bye.

Booths shits all over M&S, and Waitrose, and by some distance.

Amen.
