Interested to follow your thoughts the 2nd half are generally better than the 2nd half but might seem more samey if you’re watching order.

On a related note watch New Mutants the other day and thought it was fine/solid, best Fox/X-Men film since Logan poor at the begining but Magik was cool

Currently doing this myself (including all the clone wars series :grimacing:) and the simpsons one

Trust me, nothing in the mcu comes close to the horrors of the SW prequels

I’m actually quite looking forward to the really shit ones. Nothing like a good hate-watch. My hope is that they’re cheesy and ill-conceived rather than overlong and turgid (Ultron)

His face looked CGI in Knives Out, very odd plastic quality to it

I’ve watched all the underworld and resident evil films during lockdown. wouldn’t recommend, this is a much better idea

absolutely not, cap is a good boy

his face kind of always looks that way to me, but him snarling and being rude as fuck took him from someone who had always been sterilely ‘handsome’ (but not really attractive) to someone who was incredibly hot

Looking forward to ant man feat Avon barksdale

Mrs Horse and I did this earlier in the pandemic. I didn’t really love any of them but I didn’t really dislike any of them either. They’re all in a narrow band that runs from ‘slightly rubbish’ up to ‘pretty decent.’ There’s too much money and talent involved for any of them to be truly bad but there’s too much baggage that comes from being part of a juggernaut franchise for any of them to be truly great.

Quite enjoyed it though. Nice to have movie nights where there’s no debate over what we’re watching (though we have since implemented a Movie Roulette system that’s working quite well).

Nah, Trump is Ben Kingsley in Iron Man 3 (?)

Good call.
A puppet for the real evil.
Who are Hydra related/adjacent.
Everytime I see some whisper to Trump I hear “Hail Hydra” in my head.

Trump to Cap: “I like my soldiers who weren’t frozen in ice! Ww2: some fine people on both sides”

No, Marvel-based but not ‘MCU’. None of the X-Men films series (X-Men, solo X-Men, Deadpool) are.

Very much a Marvel film but not ‘MCU’ which is where all the tie-in stuff happens, no.

So… Timeline order is possibly a bit ‘off’ if you’ve not watched them before really. E.g. Next up for you is Captain Marvel which is fine until you get the ‘mid-credits’ bit which is actually a scene they’ve removed from early in Avengers: EndGame. It’s not really a spoiler it’s just kind of nonsensical in that order.

(There is a scene right at the end of the credits that is amusing and worth watching though.)

If The Incredible Hulk is there then it’s no worse than the other pre-Avengers films I reckon so give it a watch. I guess you won’t have either of the Sony Spider-Man films though.

Here was my good to bad ordering from before I saw Endgame or Spider-Man 2.

Yeah… Unfortunately Age of Ultron is pretty :grimacing: for most people. Not sure what went wrong but didn’t really work. Civil War was also a bit disappointing but it’s still an Avengers film overall, I reckon.

Exactly!

I have an instant suspicion of anyone who dresses in a flag. But military man, nationalist, white non-college educated male. He’s right in the demographic.

(tongue firmly in cheek, of course)

He joined the military to punch Nazis.

He’s antifa
