All of this is X-Mex / FoX chat is making me think I probably won’t get round to any of it 
My assumption is that it’s either the Deadpool one, or just an X-men universe, the one we saw at the end of The Marvels.
(Side point, do we need to spoiler things that came out three years ago?)
I reckon they’ll just avoid tying it directly to the previous films because (a) it doesn’t matter from a storytelling perspective here and (b) they’re such a mess (there are anywhere between two and five different timelines / universes, cheers Fox). That also lets them do the little differences we’ve seen so far - Gambit, the comic accurate costumes, other super heroes appearing in their universe when there was no indication of that before.
Honestly, none of it really matters. I will always contest that what these big crossover films do well is position them for new people - you rarely need to understand plot points from previous films, you just need a baseline understanding of who the characters are.

Not a spoiler but just my speculation - all the Fox X Men lads get ganked in the cold open to show Doom is a bad lad imo

One thought about this, I assume Sentry just isn’t going to be involved in any scrapping because surely it’d be over for Doom.

Yeah I was thinking this originally, but there’s footage of Shang Chi fighting Gambit in the trailer. So that only works if (a) that footage is totally fake - they’ve done this before including in the Infinity War trailer or (b) the film starts in media res, which is totally not Marvel’s style.
The other thing that jumps to mind is (this is from an issue of Jonathan Hickman’s run so not spoilers for the film exactly) there is an issue where they are faced with opposing heroes on another Earth during an incursion, and the good guys have two options - kill them and destroy this Earth to let theirs live, or just go home and accept the end of their world. A lot of JH’s run is about the moral choices the characters make in the face of an unstoppable and unknowable situation, and this is a really pivotal issue. It could well be the X-men are playing that role here.
Russo says seeing the re-release of Engame with four extra minutes is required viewing for Doomsday. Eurgh shameless. I’ll see if I can struggle through without that.

I’d quite happily sit through it again on a very big screen but I hope it’s just a post-credits scene/preview/whatever. There are people on r/MarvelStudios obsessed with the idea of them George Lucas-ing this film and I hate them all.
