Not seen that. Tom Holland looks like a minor character in Paw Patrol

I’m glad they’ve learned to no longer over-rely on Downey Jr anymore.

This one was good imo

They always do good teaser posters. The 1st Captain America one was ruined by it having ā€œAVENGEā€ across the middle.

They just relied to heavily on doing the massive Star Wars esque ones without realising the main thing about those ones was that they were hand drawn by Drew Strauzan (I googled that no chance I was pulling that name out) and weren’t just photoshopped pictures.

this one would have been perfect if it wasnt on an angle and didnt cut spidey off at the knee

Just a reminder that Moon Knight is incredibly underrated, and is likely going to be one of the casualties of this interim period where they did too much too quickly and the narrative will be set that everything in this period was a wash. It is, on the whole, a top tier show with fantastic production values, great performances, and some absolute all-time Marvel moments (moving the sky, the boat episode). They slightly fumbled the landing but I think it is probably top 3 of their shows easily.

I keep talking about this show to people and no one has watched it :pensive: thought it managed to perfectly nail being heartfelt, action packed and occasionally bit silly. Fantastic character, great casting all round.

Yeah, fair enough

(Now out Christmas 2026 and 2027)

We watched the first Captain America last night.

Just good clean fun, a relic of a simpler time when these things were enjoyable.

I liked that Hayley Atwell was wearing a full face of makeup with a bright red lip and perfect lashes in every single scene, even though half of them are in mud caked military encampments near the front line. In once scene her perfectly sculpted hair roll gets messed up by going out in the rain, and there’s a cut which is implied to be like a few minutes later and the hair is perfect again. The true superpower in this film is the power of Peggy Carter to never not be serving.

I’ve got a hankering to watch Thor now.

Still think it’s funny that Kevin Feige said his only regret from those early films was getting Chris Hemsworth to bleach his eyebrows.

Yeah…this new Captain America film is just really bad isn’t it. Nothing really seems to work. Not sure if that’s as a result of all the additional tinkering and reshoots (some of which is very apparent), or if it was doomed (lol) from the start, but there’s not one interesting action beat, the script is atrocious, and weirdly for Marvel - the casting is really poor. Suits look bad too. What a misfire.

Watched it yesterday and all. Agree wholeheartedly with everything you’ve said. I’d be asking for a refund if I saw that in a cinema of everything I couldn’t believe how awful it looked.

It’s dead weird isn’t it? Like, the choreography is all slow and jerky. It’s sub CW. Everyone is so unlikeable too. The widow character might be one of the worst on screen actors I’ve seen.

the first 30 minutes feels like a shite television show, and it just gets worse from there. absolutely wild.
