I don’t get the hate for the ‘colourful beams’? Of course this’ll happen - it’s comic book, it’s magic, it’s fantasy, it’s spectacle.

We also got the two Visions discussing that Ship of Theseus stuff (instead of just continually rucking) which was really interesting, but I wouldn’t want every fight in the MCU to be solved as such :slight_smile:

the “major cameo” was just Bettany taking the piss, he was talking about how he finally got to work with someone he always wanted to and had great chemistry with, but he was referring to acting across from himself, but the internet just ran with it

Just because it’s always been a big part of sci fi and fantasy doesn’t make it any less tedious. I would love for filmmakers to come up with new, inventive, ways to show people with similar powers fighting each other. This Reddit comment sums up my feelings pretty well:

Paused the episode to do something else while the witches were in the sky shooting beams at each other. Don’t think I’ll bother watching the rest. Going to pretend the second half of the season didn’t happen.

Related to that, thought it was weird when Monica blithely said to Wanda she’d bring back her mother if she had Wanda’s abilities - she does realise what Wanda did hurt a lot of people right? It’s not like she resurrected her partner and everyone else was happily unaffected!

It was fine still not convinced it needed to be a tv series. Nearly all of the Marvel tv shows have had some padding including Daredevil which I think was the best one.
