Tom Holland is great and everything, but Into The Spider-Verse was Sony wasn’t it? And that’s the best spider-man film ever.

Feign is important. I rate him as the best curator of the Marvel universe since Jim Shooter and Stan Lee were editors-in-chief managing the comics line. Have a good comics editor or a film producer enforcing framework rules whilst allowing maximum creativity is a hard job. You want someone who brings out the best in the creators. I totally understand why Sony want Feige.

Yeah, Disney are dicks. Spider-Man merchandise pulls in over a billion dollars a year (money which went to Sony until Sony handed it over to Disney in return for joining the MCU) and it’s still not enough for Disney.

Can’t wait for all of Marvel to enter the public domain.

Yeah they clearly trusted Phil Lord & Chris Miller a lot on that. But it was a $90m animated pic rather than a $200m live action one, the stakes were a whole lot lower.

When I think back to Infinity War (mainly) and Endgame (less so for obvious reasons) so many of my favourite little moments were Tom Holland. Think he works well as an audience surrogate into these films increasingly about crazy superpower space people. Just think it’d be a shame to lose that.

(Should just rush up a Kamala Khan film then, obviously)

Just remembering though, a lot of the bickering was public the first time around, and then it all got sorted out. So I’m not 100% convinced Spidexit will happen.

feel like mcu needs spiderman quite a bit, they’ve lost a couple of their big hitters, black panther and captain marvel are the new stars I guess, but spider man gives it a bit more continuity with the old, and given his death was one of the big emotional levers of infinity war, and its reversal a big driver of end game would be weird if they just never mention him again
