Amazing grace looks so good and I want to see it. @anon19035908 can we get an Aretha HGATR and also publicly shame anyone voting under a 4

Late to the party but finally saw Eighth Grade last night. Did a lot of crying and left feeling extremely grateful I’m no longer a 13-14 year old girl.

Its on the way quite soon.

I’m probably going to see High Life tomorrow.

Loving Pattinson’s career swing these days

Also seeing this tomorrow - oddly it’s only on in one Odeon in the whole country and that is the horrible one in Holloway. But to Holloway I go.

That cinema is a ride, I once got given free tickets as an apology after I spent a whole film sitting with my feet up on my seat because of mice running around the cinema floor!

The story behind Amazing Grace is an interesting one, how Sydney Pollack screwed up and didn’t bother with clapperboards so they couldn’t sync the audio and visuals for decades, and then how they finally fixed that issue after a lot of painstaking work but Aretha Franklin vetoed the release because she wanted more money than they could afford to pay.

Oh and Madeline’s Madeline is out today - I saw it at LFF and it’s pretty fucking mad but worth seeing (unless you’re adverse to Miranda July)

I really like it there. On the bananas scale it’s not quite Wood Green but it’s certainly up there

Oh boy Wood Green, the only cinema I have seen someone eating a full curry.
