I just don’t see how trying to gain electoral ground by slicing chunks off the labour (left) vote coheres with the Green’s ‘principled’ branding. Particularly given past pronouncements on the EU from the very same party, their hard remain stance just comes across as another example of middle class liberal identity politics, weaponised as a way to defeat a socialism that, for all its issues, is essentially worker-led and invested in all the things that actually matter in 2019 (e.g. a green industrial revolution).
