For those of you who don’t read mandarin like me the Chinese part of that banner translates as “Coleman, your mum wants you home for dinner.”

Another one was the FA Cup and league double Man Utd won in 1993/94. They got to the league cup final but lost to Villa so the treble wasn’t on but it’s perhaps technically closer. Utd were well beaten that day though (3-1)

A villa fan crashed into my dads car outside wembley that day and him and my dad ended up having a fight.
Was ace.

Hi guys, just visiting from the Scottish thread. There have been twelve domestic trebles in Scottish football (more than any other country) — seven for Rangers, and five for Celtic. Celtic are going for their sixth later this month, which would also be their third consecutive treble if they manage it — I believe that would be a world first.

Please feel free to visit the thread on that day to congratulate/laugh at Celtic for winning/losing.

Nah

Partick Thistle will do the double next season and it will become everyone’s favourite league overnight.

That’s pretty amazing. Do many people come and watch?

A few partners and kids and that sometimes. We’ve done it every year for the last eight or so now though so the initial excitement for prospective attendees has long since work off.

Ha fair. Still a pretty amazing place to get to play. Good luck!

Same. It helps we had the Villa league cup campaign on VHS (mum is a Villa fan) so i must have watched the thing at least a dozen times. Can even remember some of the commentary, the Kanchelskis handball on the line and red card. Was a great final tbf.
