Sure, but i think it’s easy to forget that Serie A was the first squid league in world football and the relative bust it’s suffered since the turn of the century’s a result of massive financial mismanagement and corruption at club, governing body and municipal level.
I’d argue Serie A’s very competitive. For me it’s been the elite league in Europe as recently as two seasons ago. Problem is Juventus have raced so far ahead, largely in part to following an English model rather than an Italian one - owning their own stadium, sponsorship, marketing. Clubs like Inter, Milan and Lazio are struggling because they lack proper infrastructure, i’m not sure anyone could say that about Spurs or Liverpool.
