I’m not a bit “portmanteau” guy but I think it would be nice if people used more of each word when they created them.
Mayonetchup or Ketchuonaise for example
Things I’ll happily dip a chip into:
- Ketchup
- BBQ sauce
- This stuff
- Mayo and mayo derivatives e.g. perinaise
- Curry sauce
- Gravy
Things I’ll grudgingly dip a chip into
- Sweet chilli sauce
- Brown sauce
Things I absolutely will not dip a chip into
- A milkshake, wtf is wrong with you

sweet chilli sauce is nice if it’s done right, only sainsbos has the good own-brand chilli sauce game imo
This is fine. I tend to do this with the individual sauces anyway so why not just take one bottle to the table
(I wouldn’t actually buy it because I don’t eat chips at home)
I’m a big fan of it in general, just not in a chip dipping context.
