I think it was in Private Eye when there was a story about someone flying first class NY - London, with James Corden sat in the next seat over. In the seat behind was a woman with a baby. The narrator expected Corden to have a diva tantrum about having a baby spoiling his time in first class, but apparently he kept silent, just put some headphones and an eyemask on and went to sleep while the woman spent the whole flight dealing with the kid.

The twist was revealed at the end, when they all got up to leave and the narrator realised it was Corden’s own wife and kid he had been ignoring.

I’ve never really understood the dislike for Paul McCartney. He seems remarkably personable for someone that famous, heart has always been in the right place, gentle and contentious person, etc. Some people say his upbeat nature annoys them but I think he’s just a naturally positive person. He seems like a cool grandad to me

I loved that, couldn’t care less if it was blatant promotion for a new album. Corden generally knows when to take a backseat with these things like this, did a good job here.

Been putting off seeing him for a while because of £££ but next tour I’ll definitely go, look how stacked these setlists are:
