Does the guy from Errors still work in The Hug & Pint? I remember being served by him about 8 or 9 years ago

Wish Errors would reform

I was once heavily critical to the Belle & Sebastian b-side ‘Slow Graffiti’ to the emphatic person serving me in a record shop who loved it. Turned out it was Lawrence from Felt Stephen Pastel.

(Loads of us probably have a Lawrence from Felt Stephen Pastel serving us in Monorail story)

Ian from Sunna used to work at the Corrie Tap when I drank there as a student.

Our old UPS driver at my old job was (and still is) a member of an influential thrash metal band. Really nice guy, couldn’t get him into Deerhoof but he respected my enthusiasm for them. Really funny when he told us he was taking some annual leave to tour on that Slipknot cruise

Just remembered the funniest bit, he delivered us some paint sprayer parts (that was the industry I was working in, basically just at their warehouse) and they came in a cylindrical package and he just marches through the roller shutter and sez “this’ll be one of your bloody Deerhoof posters, I bet”

I had a day job alongside a guy who played drums in various bands, inc Crippled Black Phoenix

edit: he’s not in CBP anymore but is lovely and we’re friends – for some reason I felt weird living this post as just ‘I met a guy who was in this band’

Ah I love that song! One of the songs that introduced me to B&S

Craig B of Aereogramme was a chef in Nice ‘n’ Sleazy in the 2000s, imagine a few in here had a burger he cooked.

Worked for a good few years at a telecoms company with 2 members of Then Jericho (they were quite big in the 80s), lovely people they were (one sadly passed away a few years ago).
Pete Fij from Adorable worked behind the bar when I started Uni, they signed to Creation shortly after that.

I bought loads of records from Stephen Pastel when he worked in the record department of John Smith’s back in the day.

I also bought one or two from David Keenan (Author / Telstar Ponies) when he worked in the same place.
