@plasticniki you have my sympathy. My son was born in August and it was hot that year too. It is not fun being pregnant in heat like this. I recommend lots of ice creams.

@IvorDewdney I hope you’re feeling a bit better now? Other than that was everything good with the new job?

I had chicken and veg for dinner. I’ve got the air conditioner on and it’s amaaaaaaaazing! I am still working because I am more than a week late completing a piece of work and need to just get it finished.

It’s a bit better thank you. Hopefully will have cleared up by tomorrow if I pump myself full of Naproxen, Allopurinol and steroids. Everything else was brilliant, actually. The job itself is gonna be fun, the people are nice, and there’s a pond.

Our youngest was an August baby and although it wasn’t the hottest summer it was damned uncomfortable for Mrs CCB.

Mind you, it was me who nearly passed out in the delivery room :rofl:

Cheese on toast for dinner but not normal toast, those tiny round milk roll ones for kids. Love them a lot, so round, so crunchy after toasting, excellent bread all round (cheese is the extra mature grated cathedral cheddar one)

Evening. Had a mushroom omelette and chips. Never feel that hungry when the weather’s hot for some reason.

I was in the downstairs bathroom afterwards, which has a flat roof, and could hear this knocking sound on the roof. Went upstairs to look out the window and there was a gull on the roof which had got a small stone from somewhere and was repeatedly picking it up and dropping it on the roof. Just deliberately being annoying.
