King Creosote is amazing and that would have been right at the top of the pile of best Mercury winners ever

Katy B was chokka with bangers, had a great time listening to her

Ghostpoet was really fun, rap/spoken word over slightly more electro or indie beats. Very underrated

James Blake and only James Blake. Listened to it last week actually. The run of the first three tracks are superb and, when it comes to his more vocal work, he hasn’t done better.

Cannot believe Tinie Tempah was nominated

On A Mission and Little Red were both really good, shame Katy B’s career fizzled out after that

Katy B, James Blake and King Creosote would be my picks, with Ghost Poet behind them I guess

I think that Metronomy - The English Riviera was one of the best British albums of the previous decade.

I like English Riviera a lot, remember quite liking the Ghostpoet one, but all the others from that year which I listened to I remember not really liking. Maybe the Anna Calvi and James Blake and Everything Everything ones were alright. Adele, Katy B, Elbow all very boring to me.

love this track

you cannot be serious

Is it bad?!

The Katy B album is okay. Couple of bangers but some forgettable stuff too.

Well Done Metronomy. A worthy winner.

Tiny Tempah was popular then!?

The top 5 are all really solid records that still stand up today

Thought Everything Everything were beloved on the boards. Their fans have really let them down here
