Midnightpunk Album Listening Party

Keeping with the strictly theme, this feels like another staggering waltz…

I can almost imagine Shane McGowan starting to shout all over this.

Oooh that’s nice when the drums kick in.

You probably know this better than me - do the themes return on some of the tracks on this album, so they sort of develop them but in the context of the whole album?

Bosses Hang pt1 sounds like a ASMZ offcut

Sounds like The Who momentarily here.

the first and third tracks are essentially different parts of the same piece

Yes! I couldn’t place that but you are spot on.

(I mean Undoing a Luciferan Towers and Fam/Famine as tracks 1& 3, the silly digital version splits the big ones into separate tracks as well)

They better not mess this build up… really good…

On the strength of the two (well one and a half tracks) I have listened to I am now lining up to kick myself as I can’t believe I haven’t listened to this before. This is sounding like something that is right up my alley.

I listen to this, remember people saying “I don’t like post-hiatus Godspeed” and I just don’t understand :frowning:

Almost sounds like vocal that guitar part, they are quashing it but it’s there

But i have very personal connections to this song so I’m biased

Liking the way this feels like it could just fall apart.
