I think this might be the first Christmas in living memory where I’ve made more than one batch of 12 over the period. Admittedly I sent five of the first batch to my family, but that would normally just mean me running out of mince pies early. This year I even managed to use up all the mincemeat.

Still got a few left to get me through the week.

Just finished my last pack. M+S standard purchased for 20p! I think their standard ones are nicer than their posh ones, by some distance too. The posh ones are underbaked and need to be popped in the oven, but I’m much more of a snarf out the box kinda guy. Puff Pastry MPs continue to be utter bollocks.

Predominantly ate the Sainos TTD this year as that’s where we do the big shop, but the Waitrose All Butter were the big hit for me this year.

I wish. My cut-off point was midnight, 4th Jan (to make up for my earlier deficit). My final mince pie was an Asda Sloe Gin one. Only pies left are the super-gross Aldi glittery candle-tasting ones though.

Still got a few mini mince pies in the cupboard. Maybe three or four left of the pack of nine? I think my other half got some gluten free mini mince pies too. No idea how many of them are left

Last mince pies of the year are Spar extra special black forest mince pies. Don’t know what they were thinking, don’t know what I was thinking. Cherry and chocolate do not a mince pie make.
