Technically don’t have a separate room/bed but I sleep so poorly in “our” bed that I sleep in the spare room about five nights out of seven.

Long time lurker (I can’t believe this is the thing to break my silence). Can someone please explain how you don’t owe her another 100 quid. It’s driving me insane. I’m not saying you’re wrong just need this explaining further… I understand the silver necklace is worth 100 quid and you’ve given her 100 quid making the 200 but she already had the silver necklace so surely you need to give her more? Okay because you’re new I’m going to assume I’m not being trolled.

The gold necklace is £200. Eric has paid £100 for a silver necklace, which he gave back to his sister in law. Rather than refunding him, his sister in law retains the £100. if he gives her another £100, that means he’s given her £200 and therefore should be able to receive the gold necklace in exchange.
