I have some the same from H&M that I also got from the bargain rack a few years back. I very rarely wear them. They’re not comfortable because of the shiny wax stuff. They also make a weird swishing noise when you walk.

I bought some trousers that did this once. Of course, i had already taken the tag off when i noticed, as you don’t know about the noise until you try to walk in them, so couldn’t get my money back or wear the stupid trousers. (If it happened today i might have demanded my money back. Stupid fucking trousers.)

These were a totally normal looking pair of black work trousers btw, not shiny or anything

They’re cotton with plastic wax stuff on the top surface. It makes the waistband rigid and uncomfortable, and the seams bend less. I have some from the same fabric also from the H&M bargain pile a couple of years ago.
