Anyone else looking forward to this? Any tips on the best way to watch as the uk coverage seems very confusing are very welcome!
I am pumped even if my team (the Cubs) are a bit of a confusing prospect atm. They should at least get to play September baseball but there is still so much work to do on the team and they are playing stupid games with people’s contracts.
Dunno about the UK coverage but the only place I can watch it is on MLB tv which you have to pay for. They do free highlights though.
Cheers, I’m pretty partisan so will watch most games! There were a fair few games on Apple TV (without needing to subscribe) last year… although they were midnight/1am starts
Ah yeah forgot also - MLB tv has a free game of the day so you’ll always get a full game daily. If you’re not too bothered about who you’re watching them that could be a good option (and if you watch it the next day you can fast forward the commercial breaks )
Oh yes! I’m hoping to see my team, the St Louis Cardinals play when they visit Ohio this season. Four games at the Reds and three with the Guardians back to back at the end of May. Fingers crossed I can work it out for at least one day.
Anyone going to the London Series?
Yeah I should be going to London, looking forward to it, but think it might lose the magic by not going to the US stadiums, that’s always part of the experience for me!
Oooooooh a Cards fan eh
Gonna be the year i get into baseball. Pick my team. Are the Mariners still a going concern?
Cubs obviously! They will give a bit of false hope and then wildly disappoint you, but it’ll be fun at least.
Ace, i might start saying i should’ve gone back in time and put some money on the Cubbies!
Ok, I’m all in. For an hour at least!
Now explain the rules but be quick, i don’t have much time.
Go Jays!

Throw the ball well if you’re pitching, otherwise hit the ball hard and score more runs than the other team over 9 innings.
Okay, let’s go over the ground rules. You can’t leave first until you chug a beer. Any man scoring has to chug a beer. You have to chug a beer at the top of all odd-numbered innings. Oh, and the fourth inning is the beer inning.
And during the seventh EVERYONE stands up, has a sing-song, then chugs a beer.
This is starting to sound like the thing i was missing in my life!
It should be noted that there are several new rule changes this season that will significantly speed up the games.
