I’ve enjoyed seeing them introduce the automated balls & strikes system for spring training

Seems they’ve found baseball’s Shane Watson

As I’m new here, I should probably make the disclosure that I’m a huge Red Sox fan (in NYC no less) and I’m pretty excited to see our very heralded prospects coming up this season. And hoping, as ever, not to lose yet another year to half the team being injured at once.

What teams are folks into?

Mariners! Local team
Cubs! Former local team

I’ve started buying tickets for odd cheap games and bobble head games. Got fancy tickets for the dodgers in September. Very excited to see us 5 games over .500 as usual and not do enough for a wildcard spot.

Laughable summer. Didn’t address any needs. Top 5 pitching rotation, bottom 5 batting line up. Same as ever :man_shrugging:

Kiddo is back in little league this year. So obviously the Pilots are my faves.

PILOTS FLY HIGH!

Hurray for the M’s! I grew up in the San Juans so they were my childhood team, but started getting back into baseball in NY with the 2004 ALCS and that glorious schadenfreude of the Yankees losing miserably, and locked into the Sox over the next few years.

I wouldn’t count your guys out, if Robles is real that’s a pretty huge thing.

Ooo we got a Yankees contingent? How are those elbows feeling?

Considering Cole probably should have had Tommy John about May of last year, not great.

Not sure I get Cashman’s fixation with signing a million guys through their mid 30s at the same time, really. Seems like things could go wrong!

At least Cashman still loves baseball. Unlike John Henry whose sole focus is on a soccer team in the Premier League :kissing_closed_eyes:

St. Louis Cardinals

From what I hear the team is still rebuilding so not much hope for this season. I’m hopeful of getting to a game this season… any game, any team!

The "local’ ML team is Cincinnati Reds. I have two very robust Minor league teams near me. The Columbus Clippers and the Dayton Dragons. Both cracking days out.

I’m interested to see where Bloom takes you. I’m one of those who saw huge positives to his work with Boston, but his pitching development plans were really questionable. Wonder if he’s improved that aspect of his game.

Oh shoot! I forgot. West Seattle Fishsticks!!!

Cubbie!

It’s been a torturous few years since being elite at the end of the 2010s. We’ve got a much better roster going into this season, and we have a good manager too, but I still have concerns about roster balance. Our squad building since 2018 has been really, really poor, and I can’t shake the feeling g that we’ll disappoint again this year.
