Yeah, similar. Thought the first section was pretty weak up until the repetition begins/the driving the truck scene, then felt it really hit its stride, and only really improves from there. The disjointed bedroom after his first suicide attempt/that whole sequence was really smart, plus I always love a good magic trick in the theatre. Also left feeling surprisingly warm and fuzzy which I wasn’t really expecting.
Agree RE the songs, fine but nothing would inspire me to listen to any again (although I’ve always thought he’s a bit shite at writing memorable tunes). All my mates thought the alternative medicine one was a highlight, but I completely agree with you, thought it was such a piece of filler.
