I’d left Zerozerozero alone for a while, couldn’t sleep and ended up listening to it in the dark on headphones last night. Not great for getting back to sleep, but great for rediscovering its details and its many incredible moments.

I haven’t been able to find time for it. Maybe when the weather gets crappy.

Me neither really until this weekend. A conversation about 2021 gigs reminded me about Mogwai, which prompted me to dig out the album, which… To cut a short story long, well worth spending some more time with it.

Unsurprisingly been canned, but they haven’t even rescheduled which is quite sad. I guess maybe ticket sales weren’t great anyway because of The Current Situation.

Makes me sad

It’s a little jarring to have gigs in 2021 start being cancelled. In many ways I’d rather stick my head in the sand and continue to pretend they are all going to happen.

February is practically tomorrow though, especially for a gig that scale.

Sad news, but such a grim inevitability about it. I’d have let them keep my cash and stick a new date on the ticket when they could, but perhaps that’s wild optimism talking. It’s certainly not my credit card.

News this week.
Suspect it’s either ZeroZeroZero getting physical release or the new new album they’ve finished.

I hope it’s a new album, never managed to click with Zero.

There’s some really good stuff on ZeroZeroZero. Could probably edit it down to a really nice 6 track mini LP

I expect it’s news about the new LP

  • One day Mogwai will release a whole album of gorgeous shoegaze songs, just for shits and giggles.
  • They’ve got lots of better things to do.

if this is like their other lead singles, the rest of the album might sound nothing like this, but right now… this is fucking class. wow, I am enjoying all the swirling Error-ish synths in the mix.
