Morning all

Well tired today - woke up all covered in stinky sweat for some reason. grimmmm. I am showered and fragrant smelling now though

I was going to get up early and get a ticket for a last minute Royal Blood gig thing in Brighton tonight - but eldest daughter texted me from the queue at 5 to 6!! (tix didn’t actually go on sale until 8) saying it was busy already.
I do not like to queue, and I’m not all that bothered about the band so I stayed in bed instead. She got her ticket and is excited though so that is good

having coffee no2 at my desk now

Planning to get out for a bike ride after work, maybe go see the handmaiden after that, maybe stay in and watch the Love Witch. Dunno

Morning all,

Managed to get into the office this morning, although the usual four minute walk from the station took fifteen.

Internal review this morning on a couple of reports to revolutionise the railway around Birmingham. A couple of bits and pieces this afternoon and then heading home.

Barely slept last night, not helped by wild and scurrilous accusations of snoring from my son at about 2:30am. I was wide awake so couldn’t possibly have been guilty.

Still buzzing after weekend football as well.

Hiya Witches + all

Had my parents over yesterday for their anniversary. My dad drove us to Filey in the day then we treated them to a nice meal back in Leeds. Managed to make it until 10:30pm before we had an argument about Muslims, and by that point they’d drank quite a lot so I think I won? They have some iffy views and usually I just let it go if it’s not important (CBA arguing about Corbyn with them anymore) but I feel like I have to say something if they say racist stuff. Anyway they had a nice time and they’ve packed off home happy.

Bought actual new clothes yesterday which I haven’t done for a long time. My wallet isn’t happy but I’m no longer in rags which is nice.

Off to Spain with the fams next week for golf and chill time. Hope mini stack is ok on the flight, we’re putting together a box of small bit exciting NEW TOYS to keep her occupied.

Hope yr good, DiS.

Oh yeah, did you guys know that Kiss from a Rose is about drugs? Blew my mind it did.

Gah, prepare yourself for some mega boring info …

On this occasion it’s to set up the broadband. First time they came over they told me we had to cut the tree in front of the BT pole before they could do anything. This time they’re saying they need more time to do the job because the wires could either come through the kitchen, at the back of the flat, and all the way through the flat to the living room which would obviously be a shambles OR they can stick the wires on the outside of the building and bring them neatly in through the living room wall which is the option id rather but it means I need to book another, longer appointment. The first guy I spoke to was really rushed and horrible whereas this guy was lovely and explained every thing really well so that’s a very good thing. He said we didn’t need to cut the fecking tree either. Ach well.

I really don’t want to ring sky again but that’s my lunch time sorted  oh and I can’t wait to see how the tv engineers go in a few weeks  it’s all making me miss virgin media lots.

hi folks, I should trim the hedge, pull up the weeds and cut the grass

but I’m just going to play videogames instead.

Gardening is good for the soul. Never takes as long as you think it will either. Save the games til later!

I need to do the front garden early in the morning before anyone is up though, I hate the thought of mucking around out there and the world can see how shit at gardening I am.

It’s a stretch to call them green, IMO.

I’d go with hellbad

Sounds painful. I’m a big fan of misguided and ineffectual protest so I’m done with them now but their product is annoyingly good (I’m looking at you, Q), just a shame the infrastructure is such a pain in the arse.

At least the blokey was deece this time. Good luck.

Yeah, it’s okay. I hope it works out in the end. I just miss having a tv… as much as I hate admitting it  so is sky pretty good then? I was a wee bit reluctant to leave virgin but we got a stupid good deal with sky, it’s 22 quid per month for tv, phone and broadband! Whereas virgin was nearly 60.

Think I’ve got a #bestofbothworlds solution for you…

P.S. We’re going on our hols next week too!! Yay! Good luck with mini you on the flight. The last time I flew there was a wee girl sitting behind me and she was LOVING the flight. I wish I was as happy as her whilst flying :airplane:

BT are costing me a fortune at the moment but getting anything changed is an absolute shithouse of being on hold and then being put through to a department that don’t want to give me the swanky deals cause I’m already on the books.

Yep, sky is cheap at the moment and pretty functional. The box is good. If your wireless sucks then pm me, you might want to replace the router which I can help with.

Hope she enjoys the flight, She’s just come through the developmental leap of hell and we have our smiley, sleepy greedy little baby back which is great!

Only 720p HD but it’s all via broadband so no need for a dish.

You may be able to get higher definition but you probably pay loads.

I’m going 2 weeks today…

This will be me in 2 weeks from now:
