B4 (Dace Road). I found one tiny section of pay & display round the corner but it’s for four hours max and has got about three spaces so I can’t count on it.

I’d risk a hypothetical £40 parking ticket for the convenience (split with the person I’m giving a lift, that’s cheaper than the train) but I can’t find penalty details online.

I should just take the train.

Ah, that’s Tower Hamlets. Parking on the Hackney side of the boundary would leave you with a 10-15 minute walk to the venue. Somewhere like Wallis Road or Berkshire Road, mebbes.

You are literally better than Google at this.

Thanks very much, I’ll investigate some more.

Hiya niki

What’s the best pie you’ve ever completed?

probably the one i made on saturday

(chicken, bacon, sweetcorn, a white wine sauce, puff pastry)

Phwoar. That sounds so good. I have never made a pie … :grimacing:

Been given a bottle of white wine for Christmas for my managers. Honestly can’t remember the last time I drank it.

20 mins to go.

!!!

the thing about pies, i reckon, is it’s probably quite hard to make a shit one? like it’s pastry, and normally some kind of meat in a nice sauce. how can it not be good? i made a veggie pie on NYE and that was also banging. so even though they’re effort, it normally pays off in how yummy they are.

I know, as I typed it I was pretty surprised!! Might need to rectify this soon. I was just about to type I love puff pastry… but to be honest, I love all pastry.

I’ve got a Pieminister cook book and have done a few out of there. There’s a nice sausage, apple, cider and potato pie, but it is a bit of a faff once you’ve gone through the trouble of making pastry. Probably just about worth the effort

Could always buy ready made pasty and concentrate on the pie itself though.

True. Though I think my new good processor might have a setting for ‘rubbing in’ (heh) which takes some of the faff out of it. I managed to make pasta dough in about two minutes when I used it the other day

Some GBOLs from anglian water just came round to investigate a drain blockage. They couldn’t fix it. Shit happens, I guess!!!11

I need to go to the gym but I can’t be bothered to go to the gym.

Started my BRAND NEW JOB today. Mainly spent mooching around and smiling politely. Finished half an hour ago, and was going to go home and make a pasta bake, but have gone the pub instead. Quite a nice Monday tbf.

Mates, I’m working on dog licences in here and someone has spelled rottweiler as “rock riler”. Absolutely incredible scenes.

lol no, they fucked it again. The guy they sent basically refused to replace the faulty part, telling the tv that he was an ‘experienced engineer’ and knew what he was doing. He didn’t find any other fault in the system, and didn’t even try replacing the valve that the previous engineer had identified as the problem.

Basically he didn’t like being told the answer to the problem and wanted to solve it himself like a big boy. So thanks to this dickhead and his ego, we still have no fucking heat jfc actually fuming at the state of this
