Morning. Strategically taking the day off because it’s my son’s 4th birthday! (and some work stuff will play out today that I’m trying to avoid).
He wants pancakes. So I may take him out for a treat. It’s currently raining though.

On a train to London, didn’t think to check the forecast for there, oops. Really, really can’t be arsed with today. 9 hours of travelling all in just to do a shit presentation no one will pay attention to.

4 good sleeps in a row now; absolutely bonkers stuff.
Picking up a van at 8 and doing a run to our house storage down south. Neither the best, nor worst way to spend a monday. Offspring one is off to Stockport for the week, which is GOOD NEWS.
Very chilly with a hint of blue sky in the north east.

Day off to recover from the weekend. Catch up on a few missed chores, take my son for a swim and hopefully do nothing else.
Is it 7.30pm or something and I’ve slept through the day and come to work at the wrong time?
Loads of absences so today will be me wanting to pull my hair out and then long old 2 hr meeting to round up the day of shit. Then I’ll get home and get straight into bed because I can’t physically be around people or noise or conversation after working nowadays.
Needed the whole weekend to recover from last week and I still feel ill.
I feel like I get this every October but I forget how bad it is. Case of the SADS mixed with actual sads.
Has reached the no I’m not getting up I’m nice and toasty here stage

Starting a new role today. Hopefully I’ll just get a pile of reading. Still got some bits from my last role to sort out.
Megalopolis and dinner at Bella Italia this evening though, what a night!

Man Alive, this rain today! Is this the rainiest October since records began? Feels like it. It feels like the weather is sticking up the middle finger to any last remnants of summer that might be hanging on.

Morning all 
I have found out that Rina Sawayama was also in Keswick this weekend 
imagine how normal I’d have been if we bumped into her up a mountain. Very very normal indeed.
Making big breakfast then we’re off to amble around some nature reserves all day, and we’re booked for lunch on THE ORIENT EXPRESS 
(the static prop they used as the Orient Express in the Kenneth Brannagh version of Murder On The Orient Express which is now repurposed as a cafe).
Hope I see lots of wildlife, wish me luck
