Just re-reading my dissertation on English national identity in culture/media (now 3 1/2 years old. jesus christ what have i been doing since then) and feeling like a lot of the points have become significantly more relevant in the last 6 months. Slightly awed by the fact I was ever able to sound vaguely academic/pretend to understand postmodernism.

I’ve been thinking a lot about postmodernism in the light of current events / the rise of the alt-right etc. I think the ‘grand narratives’ are back with a vengeance, but it’s been a long time since I studied it so I might be talking arse.
