My brother went on it once and lost really badly. The only two things he said in the whole episode, if I remember correctly, were Kanye West, and a wrong answer for which he got roundly mocked by old Eagle Face. But he’s white, male, and went to a London uni, so while not posh fits your brief pretty well. He didn’t really care the whole thing tbh, and found all the teams who took it really seriously a bit much.

It’s all basically questions based on the things people study at uni, so I don’t really see that it’s a class thing per se, but I get your point to an extent. I don’t think that it’s inherently a class thing, but class disparities are gonna make a difference.

Briefly dated someone who was on a team that had -15 points at one point.

University culture is such a bag of crap, isn’t it? Not the education and all that, but all this flummery that goes on around it. Wish I’d had the good sense/good mental health to not end up a pissed up shell of myself and actually do the studying bit properly. I did some interviews with overseas students attending UK unis the other week, and they were all horrified at the bollocks that went on.

Sure, but stuff from your subject would come up. Then some physics stuff, then art, etc.

tbh I’m aware I’m being defensive about it and part of that is probably just cos I used to like watching it when I was a kid, and was a (posh white) kid who learned world capitals for fun.
