Press has finally turned on Rooney

ā€œNo longer good enough.ā€
ā€œUnited left in a mess by Wayne Rooney.ā€
ā€œWayne Rooneyā€™s presence is stifling Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba.ā€
The Sun give Rooney a match rating of :poop:
Rooney ā€œfinishedā€
Rooney ā€œnot special anymoreā€.

etc. etc. etc,

Itā€™s an incredibly cathartic feeling reading all this after years of blind ignorance.

The past 5 years have seen Kagawa, Mata, Di Maria and Mkhitaryan join the club. Each rated among the best No. 10s in the world on arrival and each looking various degrees of broken having been benched for Rooney. And finally, FINALLY maybe we see some light at the end of the tunnel.

I went yesterday but in the home end, didnā€™t enjoy myself one little bit.

ADM isnā€™t really a 10 but the frustration still holds with him.

having watched a fair bit of him over the last 18 months, Iā€™d say Pogba perhaps lacks the calm mindset to become a top-tier centre midfielder.

his decision making at times is sometimes puzzling.

sure, heā€™ll whack the ball in from 25yds now and again, but not so sure he will ever the all round dynamo some people think he will may become.

weā€™ll see

I imagine his mates on the telly were still talking him up though no?

Just a shame that the Feyenoord game sans Wayne was equally turgid, eh?

6 league wins in a row :heavy_check_mark:
2-0 away derby win :heavy_check_mark:
Consolidate top of the league :heavy_check_mark:
Local rivals in relegation form :heavy_check_mark:

A good weekend

Sinclair and Murphy on MOTD2 both reckoned he shouldnā€™t be dropped. Said he should be playing in a holding midfielder role now.

And thatā€™s a pair of ABUs saying that!

It was a good win for us yesterday, although Stoke were an absolute shambles.

Townsend had a great game, but my man of the match was James McArthur, I absolutely love the guy as he never stops working, yesterday was his best game yet. Puncheon had a great game too, he seems to shine whenever Cabaye doesnā€™t play. So Iā€™d be tempted to leave Cabaye out for a while and let him fight for his place back.

I canā€™t believe we are 8th after our start, although we should have beat West Brom and Bournemouth (based on the 2nd half).

Iā€™m not expecting any miracles where Wayne is replaced by Mkhitaryan and weā€™re suddenly the best team in the world, but weā€™ve had a string of players who could have more than adequately replaced him but never got the chance. His contract runs until 2019, so weā€™ll be seeing a couple more of those come and go if we donā€™t give him the boot and someone else a chance to bed in soon.

The one time Scholesā€™s big gob could be useful, heā€™s nowhere to be found.

Despite Pepā€™s words to the contrary Bournemouth were pure honking, by the by. Looked like a team without a plan and ready to take a 3-0, which is actually pretty weird to see in the PL - this stage of the season anyway. Donā€™t remember Renaissance Wilsh touching the ball.

Did this at the Sunderland game where Ji got the last minute winner. Never again.

Yeah, no chance Iā€™m doing that again. Even if we hadnā€™t been abject it would have been a very unenjoyable experience.

This was just sent to an emergency contact email address at Sky (it seems the dude ccā€™d every Sky email address he could find online) asking if weā€™d be willing to use it in a Sky Sports Premier League advert. It is a ā€œrock rapā€ called ā€œOur Premier League Rock Rap Versionā€. Please enjoy.

Stuck in my head now.

Our hearts belong to our teams, our soul belong to our dreams, there nothing better than the football

Our Premier League
Ā© 2016 Lyrics by: Cllr Igor Appilat

Chorus

We love our Premier League, our football,
Our hearts belong to our teams,
Our souls belong to our dreams,
Thereā€™s nothing better than our football,
We all need our team to win,
We all want us to get the trophy,
Our hearts belong to our teams,
Our souls belong to our dreams.

Verse One

We love our Premier League, our football,
Cause teams are playing master class,
Cause every game is super paced,
Cause no one can predict the season,
Cause players give it all theyā€™ve got,
We love our teams and our fans,
And every week weā€™re looking forward,
And every season we expect,
And every year we love our football,
And every game with all our hearts.

The atmosphere is always buzzing,
Emotions running every game,
There is adrenaline and glory,
There is anxiety and tears,
Cause our passion taken over,
Cause our passion is our League,
Cause we need winning our trophy,
Cause our pride is at the stake.

Chorus

We love our Premier League, our football,
Our hearts belong to our teams,
Our souls belong to our dreams.
Thereā€™s nothing better than our football,
We all need our team to win,
We all want us to get the trophy,
Our hearts belong to our teams,
Our souls belong to our dreams.
Verse Two

We love our Premier League, our football,
When weā€™re together weā€™re one,
No matter what the weather like is,
We show support to our teams,
We love our teams to play their best,
So we can share the glory moments.

The time is ticking now weā€™re ready,
The cameras ready and the crowds,
The teams are ready for the fight,
The history will last forever,
Our football runs through our veins,
Our souls ignited by the dreams,
Our passion is throughout our lives,
Our football is our life forever.

Chorus

We love our Premier League, our football,
Our hearts belong to our teams,
Our souls belong to our dreams.
Thereā€™s nothing better than our football,
We all need our team to win,
We all want us to get the trophy,
Our hearts belong to our teams,
Our souls belong to our dreams.

Verse Three

I love our Premier League, our football,
I love my club with all my heart,
I love us winning now and always,
We win our games with the style,
We show our quality and passion,
There is no better team than us,
Our special bond will last forever,
Cause my clubā€™s family to me,
Thatā€™s why I love it with a passion,
Thatā€™s why itā€™s always in my heart.

Chorus

We love our Premier League, our football,
