First day of my new job. First first day since 2004. Have a feeling today will be death by computer with induction stuff, but hey. Made some nice lunch. Nothing else to report really

Thought I’d shrunk one of my partner’s wool jumpers in the wash but it turns out that it was that small to begin with and she’d bought the wrong size. Result.

Meeting my boss today before going back to work in 2 weeks. A bit apprehensive tbh.

Mrs CCB is in work and the Cheeksters don’t go back until tomorrow so I’m combining work with keeping an eye on them. Recipe for a successful, productive and stress-free day. NOT!

Big new client meeting in… two minutes, that until now I was feeling very confident about but am now shitting myself about.

Just missed a meeting, I was reading about sculptures so I reckon that’s as good an excuse as any.

Off to London later to cram in some art then do some training tomorrow. Learning how to become a night time advisor - basically just to go on nights out and say if it was a good night out or not, then stay in a nice hotel.

Just spent the last two hours ripping out bits of kitchen cupboard to find and isolate a leak (that has worked its way into the laminate flooring). On the plus side, the leak appears to be coming from the water supply to the washing machine, which a plumber should be able to fix (and not from some under floor pipes). On the downside, I think our kitchen floor is going to need replacing sooner rather than later. On the “ah well” side, we kind-of knew that anyway.

Top marks to our plumbers - we emailed yesterday afternoon, they called back this morning at 9.30ish, sent someone round by 11 and it’s all fixed now. Very very good.
