Morning theo and etc,

After a lot of prep work we are finally laying some artificial grass in the garden today (it was previously gravel everywhere). Once that is done I will probably be spending a significant amount of the summer outside because I probably won’t be able to stop R from wanting to be out there.

Managed to speak to the nurses last night about my mum, seems all the signs suggest she’s getting better even if she did feel it and also just had a text from her saying she’s actually managed to sleep! Yay!

@anon89873996 I hope this means you get more corridor to yourself? I am a big fan of fake grass in a garden. Fuck having to deal with grass death because you didn’t have the energy to remove the paddling pool for a week or two after the last time yr kid demanded it.

Weather update in Melbs: My arms ended up looking like a plucked chicken after popping out to the geek store at lunch so it’s no longer t-shirt weather.

She’s been in hospital with “acute kidney injury” due to dehydration from diarrhoea which was, in turn, due to a reaction from some antibiotics she was on

Sorry, I am not quite sure what this means.

Real grass is obviously lovely, but the fake stuff is so much more practical. Less upkeep and when the regular stuff would end up in mud this should be fine to an extent. Looking forward to not having to go out the front every time R wants to go outside!

Oh sorry, I checked Instagram half asleep this morning and thought you said your ‘room’ is the corridor so I presumed if more people are outside on the grass there are less people invading your corridor :smiley:

Just watched that new This Is America video by Childish Gambino three times. Fuck. That is amazing. And by the end I was really getting into the track even though his stuff hasn’t really clicked with me previously.

Me and my mate googled the bands playing at certain venues during our stay and then YouTube-ed their songs. I hadn’t heard of him before. I downloaded Memory Loss and Posthumous Release and listened to it a lot yesterday whilst pinging around New York. Great albums. Even better live.

Up and letting kids choose what to do. So we are off to a warehouse full of trampolines for the bargain sum of 22 quid an hour.

Should be back to get some more sun in the garden so that’s alright I suppose.
