When it gets to the end of the day and you realise you’ve spent the whole day doing something that looks like it really shouldn’t have taken a whole day and you don’t understand why it’s taken that long, pretty sure you weren’t going slow so wtf :sleepy:

Had pork steaks in cider sauce, with sweet pot mash and cabbage. Was well tasty, but it’s a surprise meat dinner we hadn’t planned. Gonna have to have a word with my MiL about making dinners for us.

Your train crashed?

Busy day at work again. I also forgot my wallet so I didn’t have much for lunch.

I’ve been home for ten minutes and found my DiS raffle prize in full view on the doorstep, luckily it was still there.

I’m about to start cooking bolognaise for dinner once I can be bothered getting of the sofa.

My (ill) partner has been kept late at work, so I’m still on my own for the foreseeable. Gonna listen to Bill Callahan and try and make more of a dent in the Goldfinch.

Today was hard work, kids eh.

Made a dece dinner of soy and sugar marinated salmon, Japanese rice and some veg.

Beer and switch this evening I think.

V stressful day, looking to be another such tomorrow.
3,000 word deadline next Tuesday curling like smoke above my shoulder where undoubtedly every ounce of feigned maturing I’ve done in eight years will dissipate into thin air and I’ll be pulling an all nighter like the absolute hopeless mutt I am.

Did a fart this morning that sounded like it was in stereo.

Salmon was really easy - few tablespoons of soy sauce and couple of tablespoons of brown sugar to marinate the salmon in for ten minutes*, then cook in a hot frying pan three minutes one side, turn and however much on the other side you need cook it through (also worth turning the heat down a little for the second side so you don’t get it burning). Very delicious and I have just saved you reading through all the pre-recipe bullshit I had to scroll through to get to the method :+1:

*ideally longer I think, but this is what the recipe said and it was also a last minute decision to do the salmon not just plain.
