We watched some Love Life last night. I got told off for saying it’s basically an American Bridget Jones.

We had some QI on, but Jason Mansfield was one of the panellists so we’ve turned it off before I throw the tv out the window.

Are you saying she looks like me or just generally she looks like a bunch of Witches? Haha, because if you mean me then my goodness, I wish!! Haha.

She looks very much like you!

When I finish a series/season of a TV programme I can’t start the next of it until the next day.

I can do it but it doesn’t feel neat to do so

QI is so fucking annoying, my god stfu with all that noisy laughter and stupid klaxon sound

This Way Up (Aisling Bea wrote and starred in it) was amazing as well, channel 4 but really rivalled fleabag in terms of relatability for me. They’ve got a second series I believe and I’m so pleased, watched it twice. Might start it again tonight.

I liked the sound of it when Daisy Haggard was on the Adam Buxton podcast, and also I’m a big fan of the other shows Liam Williams (Nathan the chippy guy) has done. Ladhood in particular is fooking brilliant, especially for the still slightly weird sight of seeing a 2000s-era adolescence presented as a nostalgia piece

Thank you for reminding me of this

Ladhood was amazing!! Really enjoyed it. I’m not the target audience at all, it’s set slightly before my time, but the relationship with booze and mental health stuff was incredibly well done. Wasn’t it a radio series before?

Now picture that plus Jason Mansford. Another panellist pulled him up because he said he still used DVDs. Now, don’t get me wrong - there’s a big pile of DVDs here (entertaining a five year old is HARD, right?), but it’s 2020 - it’s streaming nowadays, unless your audience is people who are too slow to move with the times.

Obviously - but since you are Dutch, that shouldn’t be a problem?

Yeah, the radio series is really good (and tells different stories to the TV show, so is worth listening to).

There was a lot of it that reminded me of being a teenager cause it was only a year or two out from my own sixth form years (and again, small town melancholy boiiii). Though I was a sweet nerdy dork boy who never touched alcohol or most drugs, I found a lot of it really, really relatable. I think it’s been renewed for a second series and I can’t wait for that.

What’s the dutch equivalent of ‘Its all Dutch to me’?

Aw fab!!
And oooh, will give it a listen tomorrow then  thanks! Need different things to listen to whilst cleaning and pottering about, have listened to too many things about grizzly murders and it’s starting to affect my psyche

But yeah, so great when a programme hits the nail on the head like that and is relatable for the audience
