Hbu?
Cba to vocaroo, soz
Waiting to board the Soton to East Cowes ferry for a day of driving round the island of white taking pictures of slipways. Exciting eh.
First day back in the office after a week of illness-induced WFH. CBA levels are sky-high. Isn’t it the Christmas holidays already? I’ve got meetings in the diary today that I need to prepare for. This wasn’t part of the plan.
Am going to try to get to the gym later, though I’m not going to stay ages. Just need to get back on it.
No Vocaroo, apologies - my daughter thinks I’m weird enough being on this site without talking to it, too
Hybrid!
Bit knackered after the weekend, but mostly posting parcels, doing music and going to see Ivan the Tollerable tonight, so no complaints!
Torn between eagerly counting down the days until the Christmas break and feeling anxiety about the amount of work I’m supposed to finish before then. I have my period and the weather is still shocking so feeling glad I’m wfh at least. Gonna have the heatpad on the go all day.
Yep, really feel I’ve checked out now, shattered in a cumulative fatigue way and just needing a few weeks off but have loads to do still.
Off to a Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared/Christmas drag show tonight but already exhausted.
Yes.
Also just spotted some bozo training his big dog to not cross roads without him by making him sit on the junction of two busy roads at rush hour whilst the owner kept crossing the roads. Sure, that couldnt possibly end badly.
Morning!
Delayed on my journey into work by traffic jams caused by what I reckon was some kind of drugs bust. There was a big queue on the A23 with a lane closed which had a shiny range rover with a bashed up corner, and then about half a mile later there were a couple of police dog unit cars at the side of the road too. Probably catching some dealers who already would have had a poor weekend with people not going out because of the weather.
In the period of work where you pass something up the chain for approval and instead of making a decision they just keep asking for more and more info, to the point where I’m like I don’t care if I get approval anymore just make a decision one way or the other
Is it normal for a cold to just be achy tiredness for a week? I’m sick of this. I’d prefer to have a runny nose because then I’d know it was a cold!
Anyway. On the bus to work. Of course I forgot my uniform t shirt.
Just took some ecstacy
Aint no telling what the side effects could be
Sorry, that was Dr Dre, not me. I’m on the train to London. No pharmaceuticals here, a large Americano and some Ethel Cain on the headphones aside.
Who’s going to check in on @Malva later to make sure she’s escaped Withington?
Howdy
Not a voicenote man, I’m afraid.
Work this afternoon. Local train line is still comprehensively knackered, so looks like I’m driving in again, which is annoying.
Dog walk and beans on toast before that though.
Morning everyone, almost got my “pro level” microphone out to record this (and some podcasts) but decided not to. Feeling a bit crapy today, most due to being run down/ Got a bunch of end of year crap to sort out and a few meeting today, so hopefully they go off without a hitch. Eldest starts their panto mime run today, 6pm to 10pm from today to Saturday night, with a matinee on the Saturday afternoon. Not sure how they’re going to survive the week, it was a killer last year.
heavy heavy ASMR vibes from your post @BodyInTheThames
Helllloooooo
Day off and hoping to have a nice one because it’s my birthday!
My mum got me a copy of Orbital so that was cool. Going to walk through the park, get a nice coffee and then head into town to watch Wicked. Never seen it or heard it but I do enjoy a good musical so should be fun. Shame it’s 2h40m and only Part 1 but there we are.
And of course, as always, happy birthday to former DiSer, alley!
. Hope she’s having a lovely day in Chicago.
Best of luck to your child, Dame Edna Everage
(That is a brutal amount of time to be performing for!)
I get this a few times a year, I’m assuming it’s a cold but
it has been gruelling, but the proof will be in the fact that they love being on the stage. so good.
