BERLIN!

  • Best restaurant?
  • anything must-see?
  • any of the standard stuff not worth going to?
  • additional chat?
  • Treptower Park
  • Go to Tempelhof and rent bikes (or if you want to proper wanker it up, rent a Canyon from Aspire and cycle to Poland or through the Grunewald to Potsdam)
  • Nice coffee at The Barn and Chapter One
  • Go to Das Gift and then that rooftop bar in Neukoln
  • Other stuff, probably

I too get free fruit every day but I hope you manage to obtain some fruit during the week anyway cowcow, if that is what you desire

my GF’s not even on enjoying cycling book so won’t be doing that. need to get a 20(twenty) mile run in at some point while I’m over there though. Think we’re staying just round the corner from the rooftop bar in neukolln. Also near this craft beer place called the muted horn which looks good

I liked this burger place
http://www.schillerburger.com/

and they also have a bar nearby which did a super good sunday breakfast buffet thing.

I really liked this bar

Well you can still wander around Tempelhof

Don’t forget Tiergarten. One of my best pals lives there so I am really shit at remembering where I’ve eaten and drunk as she just takes us to all the cool places.

Have you ever been to Berlin before? I’m trying to remember the touristy stuff- obvs the East Side Gallery / Holocaust Memorial. The DDR Museum is shit compared to the Stasi Museum. There’s also Checkpoint Charlie, the Topography of Terror and the Jewish Museum.

There’s a computer games museum which looks radical but I’ve never been. Bauhaus gallery or whatever it is, is crap, apparently. The Gedenkstaette Berlin-Hohenschoenhausen looks good if you like that sort of thing.

getting turned away for berghain isn’t as fun as people say

@Aggpass most of this stuff is on walking tours that you can do around the city centre, massively recommended for your first day coz you get a quick look at all these amazing things and a good feel for where everything is in the city as well. this is what we did then went round the holocaust museum and the east side gallery on our own the next day. berlin is so fucking good man

^yep, free walking tours are the best

I loved the Reichstag Building. You can pre-book a time, it’s free and you get a little headset that tells you to walk and stop so you can learn about what you see out of the window.

yeah we wanted to go but didnt get round to sorting it out. it looked straightforward enough though

cheers, might book this up now. Also @plasticniki you went to a Hertha game right? what’s the area around the stadium like? do the fans meet up there hours beforehand like in west Germany?

Hi guys. Busy busy weekend o stuff. Helped a mate move yesterday. Well achey now. Work is chill. That is all.

oh shit yes, that was great

and yep – as soon as you get off the S-Bahn or U-Bahn there will be beer stalls and merch stall and PRETZELS and stuff, and also in Berlin everyone drinks everywhere on the street anyway, so if it’s not absolutely freezing take some cans and go and mooch about near the stadium for a bit. Beer inside is cheap IIRC. I think if it’s a local derby they might not sell beer inside the stadium (I went to a Koln game in Koln which was a derby and they didn’t sell beer there).

hi everybody.

Man yesterday was a terrible day but I’m trying to put that behind me now and stay positive. Done some housework and been for a nice long walk already today. Might have the courage to pick up my acoustic in a bit.
