Morning guys! 2 more days at work till my ā€œweekendā€ which I’ll mainly be spending sorting stuff out to help me get a design job :upside_down_face:. Bleh.

Found out last night that my flatmate at unis GF has just moved here for uni herself, so should hopefully see him sometime soon.

(Is there a post one good thing, one bad thing topic on here anywhere?)

I feel like I’ve just come out of a 10 year coma

Today is NOT the day to have a brain that is not working at all. I cannot remember how to set things up for our awards broadcast whatsoever and the thing I was certain I had to do isn’t working… I reeeallly hope someone else remembers this shit because I certainly don’t

morning

sooooo glad I made the most of the lovely day yesterday - went out for walk in the woods with my friend and her son. After we were done with that (and a mario kart session back at mine), lazy Tim was ready to just slump around for the rest of the day. I forced myself out for a bike though and it was lovely, low sun, long shadows and all that.

finished the day off with a curry delivery and the rest of the film Sorcerer (which I fell asleep in front of on Saturday night)

now it’s grey and drizzly and I’m in work

I’m so full of CBA for my job it’s unreal

Went to Porty for the art walk on Saturday, not gonna lie it was an absolutely glorious decision. Got some Nutella ice cream from S Luca and are it on the beach, poked around some nice houses, stroked a couple of great cats, 10/10.

Still hungover from Saturday. So tired. Hoping to do the bare minimum at work and then have therapy at 4 which will be a laugh. Sod off, Monday.

sorry but I hate that guy

He thinks you’re alright, shame.

it’s a pity, maybe when he starts taking life more seriously I’ll come around

Have you watched his Netflix show at all? It’s fucking brilliant Bam.

nah I’ve seen bits and pieces on here and through osmosis but I don’t really like comedy

I’m not in any way surprised by this

Surely the whole point of comedy is to make you laugh, and laughing is a positive thing?

Is it that it doesn’t make you laugh, or you don’t see laughing as positive?

I just find it really try hard when people are paid to be funny in front of other people and punters go ā€œright I’m going to sit down and find something funny for an hour now!ā€ super cringe

Like a lot of things though, you have to let your guard down and go with it. You’re there to be entertained, they’re there to entertain. That relationship is no different to going to a gig, and you don’t hate music / musicians, do you?

To me it’s not funny if it’s somebody’s job to be funny and I find a lot of musicians pretentious to be honest :man_shrugging:

comedy is subjective and I don’t like stand-up AT ALL, I find it too awkward. At least with movies/sitcoms you derive your own humour from it

forgot to charge my earphones so was treated to overhearing a conversation between two bankers (I assume, they got on at Bank)

ā€œMy son’s off to Goldsmiths… we’re going out to a posh restaurant… then Iceland - so expensive! Also have to book flights for the five of us to California, maybe we’ll go to San Diego first… about Ā£2,500 each, Ā£10,000 total… my son’s an adult now so he has to pay for his ticket, he’s at uni but I’ve given him a hundred grand to live offā€¦ā€

Morning. Pissing down in Cardiff. But I bought a Henry Hoover on Saturday so it’s been a fun packed weekend of hoovering with my new pal.

Imagine being that much of a dead husk of a human that you have to tell people how much money you spend on things, I pity them
