Really want to squeeze in my workout now rather than at lunch but there’s no way I’ll be zoom ready for 11 if I do. Why do I get such a red face and for so long after.

Communal laundry room innit - there’s 8 regular washing machines, 2 industrial washing machines, 4 tumble dryers, 1 industrial tumble dryer and 5 ‘torkskåp’ (hot air drying cupboards)

Obviously I can’t book the whole room - just max 1 station (2 machines, 2 tumble dryer, 2 torkskåp). Took 2 hours to wash and dry 4 loads but that’s not bad going

isn’t this fascinating?

Got woken up at 4:50am by the fire alarm in a neighbouring block of flats going off. Unsurprisingly, nobody seemed to want to evacuate at that time.

Not much point in alarms that go off so often nobody believes them when it happens, is there?

I’ve often thought that there must be an etymological connection between the Swedish ‘twätt’ - pronounced tvet and the English ‘twat’ via the word ‘wet’

the Swedish verb att tvätta - to wash, means literally to make wet/ to wetten

haven’t found this confirmed anywhere though

All of those sounds good, you could go dark auburn then like a brighter/lighter red at the bottom - kind of like an ombre style? That could look good :slight_smile:

Morning all.

Another Monday WFH with the exception today I have a practice of my speaking/listening exam with my German tutor at lunch which I am ill prepared for :confused:

Had a rubbish night sleep, unpleasant dreams and too warm so feeling a bit grumpy and overwhelmed today. Pushing through with coffee and music and the prospect of the new episode of Inside No 9 tonight to look forward to. Also I did have a left over ‘Honey Bun’ for breakfast so that was nice, albeit not incredibly nutritious :smiley:
