If they don’t eat bunny dango and ride around on dogs, I’m not interested.

I mean, Mila was good in the Resident Evil film, so…

I assume anyway. Obviously haven’t watched it.

Still finding the insect glaive really satisfying. Like getting all of the aerial attacks in and then landing the diving wyvern thing at the end.

I’ve been on a weapon trying out spree and I’m mildly irked with how much easier it is to be effective with Longsword compared to basically everything else. And also at how Charge Blade has a better sword and shield mode than actual Sword and Shield.

Might have to try the charge blade, really like sword and shield. Been playing with the hunting horn on a bit too. It’s fun now I’ve got my head round it, and nice feeling helpful buffing everyone up when online. Had a bit of a gunlance spree too, which was fun, but really felt the lack of mobility compared to everything else I’ve been using.

My only issue with Sword and Shield is there’s not much incentive to block, because the only counter is to go into Perfect Rush combo, which is far too much of a commitment if the monster is still trying to claw off your face.

Charge Blade blocks, though, do a little bit of damage and can counter into a big whizzy explodey high damage attack. Seems unfair.

How do you do the large damage move at the end?

I think it’s a switch skill

Yep, it’s a switch skill called diving wyvern (it’s a ZL + A move). Thanks to Twitter, discovered that it does more damage if you use it after an aerial attack, and even more after a series of aerial attacks. Satisfying when I actually manage to hit the monster with it!

Blocked out my calendar at 4 o’clock today

I think a load of info has leaked already but I’m avoiding it.

How do I get Talisman up to a higher level?

You can’t afaik, you just need to grind for higher level ones through melding.

How many damn Magnamalos am I going to have to capture for a plate goddamn it

2.0 update out tomorrow. Three new monsters, plus Apex versions of some existing ones. New weapons and armour, Hunter Rank level increased, buddy level cap increased to 50, new armour cosmetics to craft so you can have the stats you want without looking like a clown.

And 3.0 update out at the end of May.

Goss Harag is a fun fight

Just did the Veterans’ Gala quest they added into the village quests. Ooof, it was tense. Did it, but toughest solo one I’ve done by far.

Charge Blade has now clicked and is definitely Charge Bae.

Lance is comfier for solo but multiplayer Charge Blade is weeeeeeee

Stopped playing around the 40 hour mark which is coincidentally where I stopped playing the 3ds game. Addictive loop but ultimately too repetitive for me.

Not falling for this trap again… for one console generation.
