Oh yeah, I’m aware…I’ve been around some friends over the last few years doing theirs and they’re so full on, but one of those was a friend with a toddler too (admittedly with a partner who did more than his fair share and a close family near by).
I want to research how to invoke artists through the written word, specifically how to write like Hopper paints, and investigate why noir novels are the closest companion to his work even though plenty of other books cover isolation in cities too. And I need to have new career options too, like if I got arthritis as bad as most of my family have had it I wouldn’t be able to do tours anymore, so it’d be good to explore teaching down the line somewhere.
But it’s all hypothetical if I can’t find a scholarship, and continue working.
