Chinese New Year do last night, didn’t have nearly enough food for the amount I paid, which fucked me off a bit.

Met an old guy in our local pub once who modeled himself on Snufkin. The way he talked, dressed, travelled around etc. He was eulogising Tove Jansson and also kept on about ‘I Capture The Castle’ and that we should definitely read it.

Pubs are great for meeting peculiar characters like this.

I should have mentioned that we work flexible hours. So if someone turns up at 8am and the boss says leave early, the person who arrived at eight will work their full day but the person who arrives at 10am will have two hours less work. But maybe that was taken for granted. Of course, I went to the meeting straight from home.

In a pub in Kensal Green right now.

Not sure why I chose here, but I did. There’s a wake going on around me, a fairly high spirited one and two non-grieving fellas, late-20s, early-30s doing a crossword together and sharing a packet of Piper’s Ready Salted crisps.

Opened, added a space and then saved a few documents on SharePoint to make it look like I’ve been heroically working this afternoon.

Ruddy love beer, me.
