Morning all.

I had a dream someone murdered our cat, which was quite distressing. Then I woke up and went to the loo and when I came back he was sat in the bedroom doorway waiting for me, as if he knew. When I got back in bed he came and laid on me, which was quite sweet. Until he inevitably turned around and put his anus in my face in a typical, “I AM CAT, I OWN YOU!” gesture and the moment was somewhat spoiled.

Pointless cat anecdote aside I have nothing to report. Hope you’re all well.

Morning all!

I’ve been up since 5:30 as I had a 6am call to be on. Pretty tired, but it’s Friday, so I can deal with that.

Also it’s payday (which is good) but I’ve just found out that I’ve had £300 taken from my payslip for a student loan I finished paying off 2 years ago (bad). Knew I shouldn’t have opened the student debt thread.

Half day today, kinda. Docs this afternoon, then WFH - although my boss has given me dispensation not to log on if I don’t feel up to it. Nice man. Very nice man. Very very nice man. Not an AA man, though.

Nothing planned for tonight, might see what’s on at the Cinema.

Tomorrow, my age clock ticks over again. Busy day with the kids, football and beer.

On a painfully busy bus to ‘school’ with my heavy tool box on my lap. Going to go smith some silver (more likely copper, like fuck am I wasting my silver on sample pieces). Got some Esmerine on, making the journey feel a little calmer. Would prefer to be in bed to tbh.

Lots to do in the office today so will be trawling DiS for procrastination.

Haircuts for me and the boy tomorrow, then Scotland Vs. England.

I did a really basic silversmithing course last year at the adult education place, now I am starting a more extensive accredited one, mostly jewellery based. Not much into jewellery but fine manual work is my kind of thing.

It’s just a classic HR cockup from my previous employer, who were not short on those, and a massive pain the arse.
