Morrissey is at it again: a rolling thread

Love Spillers so much. Rarely have the cash to buy records these days but whenever I do it’s a lovely place to shop. They’ve even managed to coax some conversation out of my socially anxious self once or twice. Seen some good in stores there too.

Good decision and GBOL basically.

I imagine that was an anti-shoplifting thing, which was a bit rubbish but sadly necessary. It’s mostly big boxes of lovely records these days though.

I loved the in-stores when it was in its’ tiny old location.

I just don’t understand Morrissey’s mindset. Surely he must be aware that most of his fanbase is made up of people of a left-wing persuasion. So, why is he intent on damaging his own career by repeatedly endorsing political figures that are so far away from those who is fans would support? Weird.

I didn’t see any in the old(ish) store, I imagine they’d have been fun. Though it’s awkward enough knowing where to stand with all the space they have now!

I’d wager its because he’s a deeply arrogant and self-involved man, who is also completely divorced from the real world.

Yeah when I saw him the crowd was pretty bizzare

Kill me

Aren’t Kasabian from Leicester??

Seeing Ian Curtis on a Madchester lads lads lads poster is weirder than seeing Moz on there, even if JD were by all accounts a reasonably laddy bunch at the time

Panther Party’s a right banger so I must remember to watch this vid later

Yep, but they affect a manc-swagger.

Yeah but they’ve always pretended to be Mancs

Yeah, that’s recent, sure it used to have Shaun Ryder on there

This is good news, but the headline on that article is really poor.

Spillers haven’t ‘banned’ Morrissey; they’ve just taken a decision not to stock his records - as is their right, obviously.

I know, it’s baffling why he does things to get his name thrown about a lot whenever he’s got a new record out.

Love Spillers - best shop in Cardiff.

…and in case no one has already said it: Fuck Morrisey

I bet Ashli and her team are getting outrageous shit on Twitter about this.

(I wouldn’t be surprised if this is just them choosing not to stock his latest and it being spun into being BANNED)

That’s pretty much it by the sounds of it.
