Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing

It’s such beautiful television. I love it.

Some hard-hitting opinions

I don’t really like this much but it’s pleasant enough to put on when there’s nothing else to watch.

  • They have no chemistry at all. Almost seem to bring the worst out in each other. It’s like every conversation is an ice breaker.
  • The sentimental/tender moments feel contrived.
  • Overproduction adds to the soulless feel, obviously they wanted to capture the beauty of the locations but it lacks warmth.
  • Thanks for reading.

The bit with Feargal Sharkey :sob:

Cynical, scripted, probably, Don’t care.

Today’s episode is filmed about 10 miles from where I live. It is seriously beautiful

What is the wick again?

Tissue twisted tightly. The only issue is the wick burnt too slowly so needed trimming but it did keep going for half an hour or so.

Anyone know the track at roughly 8m40 of S03 E04?

Maybe this. There’s a big playlist of tracks played through all these seasons on Spotify fyi

Late to the party on this, but one of the most heartwarming shows I’ve ever seen.
