I mean, nice troll, but as it happens, I was one of the few who did pronounce it correctly like ‘Jamie’ because a friend of a friend had that name.

Scallops.

Not sure which is right though.

Gallop or wallop.

Genuinely did always read it as J’aime in my head. Didn’t seem that weird or out of context given the type of book it is and some other characters’ names. I also thought it made it sound a bit more exotic, and I actually think it works better than Jamie.

The terrible pronunciation of “almond” on television annoys me.

Reading awry aloud as “aw-ree” in class in year 8 or 9 still haunts me to this day.

A lot of people mispronounce Jaime Lannister name incorrectly from GoT. [/quote]

Schedule, quarter, and amateur are probably the ones I notice most often.

How are people saying quarter?

Korter

scah-lup is a breaded potato cake thing. scoh-lup is a fish thing

(As opposed to k’wor-ter, which it should be)

Jesus. I’ve never heard that.

what about amateur?

Once you notice it, it’s everywhere. Lots of ‘korter-finals’.

Is this in America?
