I like Prince in theory more than in reality. Again, my dislike of the production values of the time period hampers my attempts to get into him properly. I can appreciate his talent more than the other two people mentioned so far in this thread though. I also think the opening lines of Nothing Compares To You are some of the finest ever written.

The answer is always Like A Prayer - so many other great tunes, but if I feel like crap I can put Like A Prayer on and when it gets to the bridge I’m magically fixed. It’s so good.
