NEVER HAD TO KNOCK ON WOOD
It’s fucking great when you’re a kid in fairness. It’s like “This is funny AND it’s also music! Count me in!”
DAYMAN, AHH-AHHH
FIGHTER OF THE NIGHTMAN, AHH-AHH
what may be worse is pop punk bands triyng to be funny. Im looking at Bowling For Soup. Just awful
TBF I had The Distance in my head the other day and immediately considered posting it to your FB wall.
I’ve recently really got into Cake
I had heard going the distance lots before of course - but that whole album is ruddy great
not comedy though
Got given an album by them once, never realised it was comedy Quite like the album, tbh
Hey, if they put a smile on your face (and also @xylo 's face and other people’s faces), who are we to say they’re not comedy!
Ah nice, which one? I guess the first one? Work, Love Life, Misc?

The Unicorns[/quote]
Never realised they were comical either!
Power Words for Better Living
I think it’s a whimsy thing. David Devant are mostly just whimsical than broad comedy but the UK music scene always has (had?) real issues with bands not taking themselves seriously enough, IMO.
Oh right.
That’s maybe the straightest one I think? It’s good but I’d say ‘the hits’ are in the first two.
Guys can we have less “wonderfully sad” and more “zany and mad” please
no - that’s fair enough
I just don’t think of them as a “comedy band”, just as a “band that are fun and can be funny”
