Yeah think it was just that for 45 minutes iirc

First 5 in order:

Homework - Daft Punk
Born 2 Do it - Craig David
1977 - Ash
Echo Park - Feeder
Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water - Limp Bizkit

I bought loads of singles when I had any pocket money from about age seven onwards, mostly cassette and 7". Didn’t really get albums until I was about ten, and difficult to remember precisely what was first. I remember going out and spending a load of birthday money on three albums at the same time:

  • Supergrass - I Should Coco
  • Pulp - Different Class
  • Blur - The Great Escape

Would still happily listen to all three, the Blur one a little less eagerly than the others. In fact, I listened to I Should Coco this week. Great record.

The first bit of music that was ever really mine was a tape single of Disco 2000 I found on the floor on the way back from Primary school one day.

I had that Wheatus album.

I still like a lot of the songs on it.

…And Justice for All

Oh seeing as everyone is giving their first fives:

Oasis - Definitely Maybe (would probably still give it a listen)
Various - Shine (would like to listen again)
The Boo Radleys - Wake Up (as above - decent)
Dodgy - Homegrown (I AM THE GRASS MAAAANNNNNNNNNNNN)
The Cranberries - No Need To Argue ('kin 'ell)

I’d bang this on no problem

I perma markered ‘WHEETUS’ onto my rucksack in year 7, and walked around with it for a good few months before someone pointed out the spelling mistake.

That I’d be willing to listen to? I guess Nirvana Unplugged is fine and that was my first so that.

Oh no actually I think it was the Best Of UB40 (about 2 months before buying Nirvana lol), and I’d probably not be willing to listen to that so I stick with Nirviana.

Cuban linx was the first wu tang album I bought. Absolutely stunning. Had 36 chambers taped for me.

First album I ever bought was ELO - A New World Record, first single I bought was Spandau Ballet’s To Cut A Long Story Short, both in about 1981. Yes I am old.

White Stripes - Elephant was an early purchase and remains excellent. Could probably put on my very first - Offspring’s Conspiracy of One - and have a thoroughly good time though

think I would quite enjoy listening to Kick and Listen Like Thieves again

got ya back jack

That would be ‘What’s the Story? Morning glory’

Parallel Lines by Blondie.
What a track list:
Hanging on the Telephone
One Way or Another
Picture This
Fade Away and Radiate
Pretty Baby
I Know but I Don’t Know
11:59
Will Anything Happen?
Sunday Girl
Heart of Glass
I’m Gonna Love You Too
Just Go Away

I never appreciated at the time just how brilliant a drummer Clem Burke is and how strong Debbie’s voice was/is.
