Mubi 2018 (Rolling)

There’s a fair amount of that (gotta stay in business, and they sell) but they show minor new releases, new anime and Asian stuff, and loads of cult and obscure stuff. This year I’ve seen Jurassic Park, 2001, An Evening with Beverly Luff Linn, The Endless, loads of horror stuff thanks to their Halloween season (the original Suspiria, The Exorcist, a Dutch movie from the 80s about a killer lift, a film about cannibals on the tube in the 70s, original Texas Chainsaw), bunch of classic film noirs. The programme imo is really diverse and interesting at the moment.

(Plus I personally just find it was less stuffy than the BFI)

got some great stuff on atm

Todd Solondz retrospective
Luis Bunuel retrospective
Double Life of Veronique
Breakfast Club
The Beat That My Heart Skipped

What’s on there? Have wanted to see some of his other films since seeing Wiener Dog when it was in cinemas.

That’s easily his worst film! Defo see some of the others.

I liked it but ok

Palindromes (which goes tonight)
Life During Wartime
Dark Horse
